Most recent Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones, such as the Xiaomi 12T, Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 11, POCO M4 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, were made with an AMOLED display. An OLED replacement is the closest match, with deep blacks, vivid colour and a slim fit, and it is needed for an in-display fingerprint sensor to work. A budget LCD or incell screen keeps the cost down, but it is slightly thicker, blacks are less deep, and in-display fingerprint is not supported. Phones with the fingerprint sensor in the power button, like the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 11, are not affected.
Budget models such as the Redmi A3 and Redmi 14C were made with an LCD, so an LCD replacement is a like-for-like repair. The Redmi Note 14 4G has an in-display fingerprint sensor, which will not work with an LCD screen.
